Firewall App and Internal CRM

WebApp

Two Systems, One Team

As part of a team of seven engineers at Navarino Telecom, I helped build the company's operational backbone: an internal ERP/CRM and the client-facing firewall portal for its managed maritime firewall services.

The Internal Engine

The Ruby on Rails ERP/CRM handles data synchronization, billing, and approval workflows for hundreds of daily internal users, with change-request approvals guarding the database, satellite API integrations keeping external systems in sync, and GraphQL tying it together.

The Client Portal

The Vue.js firewall application is the portal every managed-firewall maritime client uses to control their own service, self-service firewall management extended with advanced threat detection, real-time traffic analysis, and user behaviour analytics.

Change Requests & Approvals

I've implemented a robust system for change requests in the database, which incorporated an approval process. This mechanism ensured only authorized and vetted changes were made to the database, enhancing the system's security and integrity.

Sattelite API Integrations

I've successfully integrated various external APIs, allowing the CRM to communicate effectively with other systems and applications. This integration enabled the sharing and synchronization of data, enhancing the CRM's capability and user experience.

System Synchronization

We created a synchronization mechanism between external systems and the CRM. This feature ensured that the data across various platforms remained consistent and up-to-date, improving data reliability and operational efficiency.

Firewall Application Enhancements

The firewall application received significant new features, extending its functionality beyond traditional firewall capabilities. This expansion included advanced threat detection and response, real-time traffic analysis, and user behavior analytics.
